What happened to 2017!! It seems it was 2016 that I last wrote in the blog – how did that happen – well a large interiors project has been keeping us occupied & once i have some decent images i’ll let you see them. Also I started power walking – more of that later. The project was a beautiful modern new build home in Staffordshire with almost all new interiors, curtains & blinds and furniture. The client was “absolutely thrilled with the interior design” which makes us all happy bunnies!
So 2018 arrived & cream Interior Design is undergoing a bit of a face lift. A lot of challenges are ahead, the first being a re-branding which fills me with dread. As a ‘creative’ passing on something so important to someone else is a real challenge & it scares the **** out of me!! Thank fully I have a fab lady taking charge of it who herself is a little apprehensive but up for the challenge. Designers are a difficult breed to design for o I don’t envy her!!
We’ve been concentrating on our Pinterest page & adding more up to date images of our work Cream Interiors Pinterest. Pop over to take a look at some of the work we’ve been busy with & let us know what you think. Putting the images together has shown what a diverse range of interior project’s we work on – truly bespoke for the individual client.
The next challenge, possibly the biggest, although that is arguable, is the London Moon Walk 2018. So in 2017 I completed the half, plus a bit extra! 15 miles of power walking around London, in my bra, at night. A very liberating experience as well as hugely enjoyable. I then took part in the London Marathon Walk, in September, & finally did the full distance of 26.2 miles & came a very respectable 9th or 10th lady finisher – not bad for a novice! So for 2018 I decided to go for it, in a big way, and do the full Moon Walk, not on my own this time but with a group of 9 other lovely ladies, who may still not be friends after!!. This weekend was the ‘official’ start of the 12 week training plan & on Sunday morning I woke up and for the first time in ages didn’t feel like walking !! Those who know me will know that this is a very unusual occurence. Since Feb last year I have caught the bug & taken every opportunity to get my kit on & walk but this morning all my brain could see was the furniture that still needed finishing, the house that needed cleaning & the children who, after a week off school, needed help with homework!! Why do they always leave it to the last minute? Thank fully, after a bowl of porridge & cup of tea, I found my mojo & did a very respectable 4 miles in 50 mins. Not as long as a usual weekend plod but the timing was excellent. Moon Walk here I come!!
If you’d like to keep an eye on my training you can do here (any sponsorship whilst you’re there would be very gratefully received). xx Buffalo Gals Moon Walk 2018
The final challenge, and the one that will be over a much longer period, is writing an Interiors feature for The Quorndon Magazine. I know a thing or two about interiors but I am no writer so have enlisted the help of a lovely lady Kirsty France who has taken my draft and given it some bling! Our first feature, on Spring, goes to print early March so buy a copy & take a look – let us know what you think? This will, hopefully, be a regular thing so if you have any topics you would like me to feature drop me a line either through our Cream Interior design Facebook page or email me – firstname.lastname@example.org
